On 15th November 2019, the student representative, Eduard Putlitz, from the St. Gallen Symposium (Switzerland) visited SJIM to talk about the Symposium with the students of SJIM. The St. Gallen Symposium is the foremost student-driven event in the world in terms of its reach and ability to bring together large numbers of high-ranking personalities from both business and politics on a single platform to interact with young students.
This year’s topic for the Essay Competition of the Symposium is “Freedom Revisited”. As Eduard explained, the topic deals with understanding freedom through the lenses of changing technology, new political arenas, and of course climate change.
Last year, one of SJIM’s students, Nitish, was selected to attend the Symposium. Read about his experience at the Symposium here .
