Dr. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore; Vicar General, Rev. Monsignor Jayanathan, Bangalore Archdiocese; and Rev. Dr. Manoj D’Souza, Director, SJIM.
The inaugural ceremony included a welcome address by the Director, a few words of encouragement and support from the Vicar General, and an inaugural address by the Archbishop. The program coordinator was Dr. Caren Rodrigues (SJIM), who also hosted the inaugural session apart from conducting some of the program sessions. The other sessions were conducted by Mr. Christopher D’Souza and by Dr. Anup Krishnamurthy (SJIM). The sessions were designed to cover management principles that would best help the priests in their ministries. The fathers were introduced to some of the world’s best management tools, and were shown simple ways in which to apply these tools in their specific contexts.
The program was attended by the priests of the Bangalore Archdiocese who had completed one to seven years of their pastoral ministry. The Fathers enjoyed the interactive and engaging sessions that spanned different topics in human behavior, interacting with the outside world, and contemporary leadership concepts, as applicable to their ministries.
