The inauguration ceremony for the batch of 2017-2019 was held on 1st June 2017 in the Xavier’s auditorium, St Joseph’s Institute of Management.

The event commenced with the lighting of the lampby Rev. Fr. Anthony Joseph S. J, Rector, BJES, Mr. Solomon Ravikumar, Senior Vice-President, HR, AB VOLVO and chief guest for the evening Rev. Fr. Manoj D’Souza,Director (SJIM), Prof Edwin Castelino, Dean and a student representative from the newest members of the SJIM family. This was followed by readingsfrom the sacred scriptures.

Rev Fr. Manoj D’ Souza S.J formally welcomed all the dignitaries present on the dais and the students. He introduced the faculty and staff to them as they would be the guiding lights for the students in the next chapter of their academic lives. The chief guest for the day Mr. Solomon Ravikumar, Senior Vice President, HR, AB Volvo,inspired the students to be dedicated towards their studieswith his speech.

Dr.Keshini Saggar and Mr Sundher Abhishek, students of the new batch were called forward to share their expectation and aspirations.

Rev. Fr. Anthony Joseph S. J, Rector, BJES, greeted the gathering and wished them success for their academic journey. Prof. Edwin Castelino, Dean, shed light on the Josephite culture and the norms and values of student life at SJIM. The vote of thanks was delivered by Swati Jacob, a 2nd PGDM students, who thanked all the dignitaries for their presence and motivating words while welcoming the incoming batch of 2017-19.
