The blood donation drive is an annual event conducted at SJIM to spread awareness among the students. This year, the drive was conducted by the CSR club “Prayaas” which is headed by Student Coordinator Ajai P P. The drive took place in partnership with Narayana Health City Hospital on 18th July 2019.

Dr Girish CJ was the chief guest for the day. Dr Girish has completed his MD in pathology from Bangalore Medical college and research institute. He also has 10 years of experience in the blood bank field.

Dr Girish addressed the gathering on how donating blood is an important constituent for saving lives. Rev. Dr. Manoj D’Souza also addressed the students and encouraged everyone to actively participate in the event. The camp started at 10:45 am and ended at 4 pm. Overall the event was a success witnessing around 142 registrations and 93 donors which consisted of students, faculty and non-teaching staff.
