SJIM Celebrates its 57th Foundation Day

St. Joseph's Institute of Management (SJIM), Bengaluru, marked its 57th Foundation Day with a grand celebration on campus. Mr. Emmanuel David, SJIM Governing Council and former Director of Tata Management Training Center, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the institution’s core values of Magis, inclusivity, ethical conduct, and social concern.

As part of the celebrations, Hasiru Dala Innovations, a social enterprise dedicated to creating a waste-free world through circular economy solutions, was conferred with the SJIM Eminent Social Entrepreneur Award of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding contributions towards sustainable social development.

Meritorious students were felicitated for their academic excellence during the event. Presiding over the function, Fr Daniel Fernandes SJ encouraged the students to lead lives driven by passion and purpose. The Director, Dr Manoj D'Souza SJ, welcomed the gathering and reflected on SJIM's rich legacy and its continued contribution to society. A short cultural program with dance and mime depicting the evils affecting the young people was showcased. Dr Caren Rodrigues, faculty at SJIM coordinated the event along with Mr Deny Richard, the Student Council General Secretary.
