SJIM came alive with the spirit of Karnataka on November 20th as it celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava with grandeur and enthusiasm. The campus, adorned in the vibrant red and yellow of the Karnataka flag, and flowers resonated with the rich cultural traditions of the state.

From the aroma of traditional delicacies to mesmerizing performances of classical dance, folk music, and Yakshagana, the event offered a captivating journey through Karnataka’s heritage. Students showcased their talents in cultural competitions, fostering creativity and camaraderie while celebrating the state’s unique identity. Film script writer Shri S N Sethuram and Konkani and Kannada Literary figure and recent recipient of Karnataka Government sponsored Kannada Rajyotsava award winner, Catholic Jesuit Priest Fr Prashanth Madtha SJ were honoured at the occasion.

Through such initiatives, SJIM continues to honor and promote Karnataka’s rich legacy, uniting its diverse community in a shared sense of pride and belonging.
