Mr. Srijeet Sarkar, the Director of HRBP at redBus, part of the MakeMyTrip Group, graced SJIM with a guest lecture, sharing his extensive expertise and insights with our second-year PGDM students. Mr. Sarkar, an accomplished leader with over 12 years of industry experience, has previously contributed to the success of notable organizations such as ITC, Oracle, and Candela Labs.

Recognized as one of the ‘Top 40 under 40’ HR professionals in the country by BusinessWorld and certified as a ‘Future Leader’ by Jombay, Mr. Sarkar's innovative approach to talent management has been featured in case studies at Harvard and the Indian Institute of Management. His role in shaping the future of HR practices is widely acknowledged.

The 90-minute lecture captivated the audience with active participation from students. Mr. Sarkar delved into the journey of redLearn, redBus’s learning and development platform, emphasizing its pivotal role in employee upskilling and development. This initiative has significantly contributed to redBus's stature as the world's largest bus ticketing platform.

In addition, Mr. Sarkar introduced redVerse, a cutting-edge virtual reality platform that enhances HR practices and aligns them with redBus’s organizational goals. The lecture concluded with students experiencing redCity through head-mounted virtual reality Oculus lenses, providing them a glimpse into the innovative HR practices at redBus.
