An Insightful Lecture Sethi on “Anticipatory Leadership: Strategies and Dynamics” by Brigadier Inder Sethiat SJIM


Joseph's Institute of Management, Bangalore, recently had the privilege of hosting Brigadier Inder Sethi for an engaging guest lecture on “Anticipatory Leadership: Strategies and Dynamics.” Brigadier Sethi, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), and a certified expert in Supply Chain Management from both IIM-A and the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-Delhi), shared his extensive knowledge and experience with the students and faculty.

With over 33 years of distinguished service in the Indian Army, Brigadier Sethi brings a wealth of practical experience to his teachings. He is a second-generation serving soldier and a graduate of the University of Delhi, holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from NIIT. His credentials also include certification as a Level C Project Manager by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and expertise in Big Data & Visual Analytics, certified by Microsoft™ in Data Analytics using Advanced Excel and Microsoft Power BI.

During the lecture, Brigadier Sethi emphasized the importance of anticipatory leadership in today’s dynamic environment. He discussed key strategies for leaders to stay ahead of challenges and make proactive decisions. His insights were particularly valuable for the students, offering them a unique perspective on leadership from a military standpoint.

The event was a resounding success, leaving attendees inspired and better equipped with the knowledge to navigate complex leadership challenges in their future careers. Mr Chandrakant, PRO at SJIM and Dr A R Rajagopalan, Dean at SJIM jointly organized the lecture for the 1st year PGDM students.
