16th June 2025
St. Joseph's Institute of Management, Bangalore collaborated with ITESO, a Jesuit University at Guadalahara, Mexico to conduct a summer course on 'Business Models'. Prof. Rajendra Desai of SJIM was in Guadalahara from June 1 - 15, 2025 and taught the sessions with a focus on innovating on Business Models. The student group consisted of undergraduate students who were entrepreneurs with their own/family businesses, working professionals and some freshers.
The course brought to the students a hands-on-working using the University of St. Gallen's Business Model Navigator that identifies 55 core business model patterns used by succesful businesses. These patterns, compiled by the university's Institute of Management, provide a framework for understanding, adapting, and innovating business models. The framework is used to analyze existing business models and to create new ones by combining or modifying these basic patterns.
