35 students from St. Joseph's Institute of Management (SJIM) had the opportunity to visit the Volvo Construction Equipment Manufacturing Unit in Peenya. The visit offered students a unique insight into the operations and innovations within the construction equipment industry.
Mr. Raghavendra kicked off the visit by emphasizing the importance of safety protocols, ensuring that all attendees were well-prepared. Participants were treated to tea and snacks before the tour began.
The students were led by Ms. Bhoomika and Ms. Bassamma through the manufacturing floor. They observed the assembly processes of crawler excavators, soil compactors, and asphalt pavers, gaining an understanding of the advanced technology and meticulous processes involved.
Insights: The tour provided a detailed explanation of the manufacturing processes and the technology that drives Volvo’s success in the construction equipment sector.
