ARAVAM 2K24: A Celebration of Onam at SJIM

On September 18, 2024, SJIM was transformed into a vibrant celebration of Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala. The campus was adorned with intricate and colorful rangolis and Pookalams, traditional flower arrangements that symbolize unity and prosperity. Students dressed in their finest traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere. The cultural performances were a highlight of the event.

Graceful Thiruvathira dances, energetic Chenda Melam performances, and fun-filled traditional games like tug-of-war kept the audience entertained and engaged.

The highlight of the day, however, was the grand Onam Sadhya feast. Served on banana leaves, the Sadhya featured over 20 delectable vegetarian dishes, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Kerala. SJIM's Onam celebrations were more than just a fun event. They showcased the college's commitment to preserving cultural heritage and fostering a sense of community. The vibrant colors, traditional music, and delicious food brought together students, faculty, and staff in a spirit of unity and celebration.
