The 8th SJIM-Albers International Business Plan Competition brought together
students from top global institutions to develop AI-driven solutions for elderly
care.
Organized by SJIM (India) and Albers School (USA), the competition saw
participants collaborate across borders, with expert judges shortlisting three
finalist teams. The final round, hosted by Albers School, featured a
distinguished jury, including Brenda H. Christensen, Jeff Canin, and Vani Rao.
The Students at St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM, India), Albers
School of Business and Economics (Seattle University, USA), Regis University
(USA), ITESO (Mexico), Advantere School of Management (Spain), Fu Jen
Catholic University (Taiwan), and Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines)
collaborated in virtual teams.
The winning team included Desiree Parker, Katia Del Toro Garza (Regis
University, USA), Aniket Jaiswal, and Nameeth M. A. (SJIM, India). Their
innovative AI solution stood out, reinforcing the competition’s mission to drive
impactful global innovation.
Dr. Anup Krishnamurthy, Dean International Relations and Dr. Caren
Rodrigues, faculty at SJIM organized the event. The event took place from
October 2024 to February 2025.
