St. Joseph Institutions

In India, the Josephites tradition commenced in Bangalore with the establishment of the St. Joseph’s European High School by the Paris Foreign Mission Fathers in 1858. In 1937, the entire management of the St. Joseph’s institutes was handed over by the Paris Foreign Mission Fathers to the Jesuits who run several educational institutions all over the world. Since 1937, the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society run St. Joseph’s institutions have grown steadily and today boast of over 11,000 students enrolled across various institutions.
