About The Conference

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted businesses the world over like never before. Business leaders are facing a broad set of challenges that include keeping employees and customers safe, ensuring capital inflows and liquidity and restructuring of operations. The turbulent environment has also upended not just how companies interact with their customers, but also how customers choose and purchase products and services and in turn the management of supply chain delivery systems. Companies that are having sustainable business models are more likely to survive the turbulence. New capabilities include leveraging of existing distribution networks, mapping new digital customer experiences, fostering new partnerships and setting up systems for faster product development. The fourth in the series of leadership conferences, ICSBMTT will focus on how organisations can build long-term sustainable business models in order to survive in a turbulent environment. The conference will be conducted in ONLINE mode.

The SJIM Leadership Network

For more than a century, St. Joseph's has imparted value-based education to countless generations. The Josephites, equipped with character, conscience, competence, compassion and commitment, stand tall among equals. Personalities dotting the Hall of Fame stretch far and wide. St. Joseph's Institutions are run by the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society (BJES). St. Joseph's Institute of Management (SJIM) aims to be a management institute of excellence committed to nurturing responsible business leaders having concern for society and environment.

What began in 2019 as a platform created for leadership thinkers to come together and provide direction to the management-community, has now grown into the SJIM Leadership Network that focuses on long-term impact themes that are relevant for society and businesses. The conference series is christened as Utkarsh, signifying the pursuit of excellence. Focus areas over the previous conferences have been on renewed leadership, the challenges in sustainability and the need for innovation.
